Shipping Policy

A legal disclaimer

Effective Date: November 16, 2025

Dunel is committed to delivering high-quality compliance test equipment reliably and on time. This Shipping Policy applies to all orders placed via www.dunel.com, direct quotes, or purchase agreements. All shipping terms are EXW (Ex Works) unless otherwise stated in writing.

1. Standard Shipping Terms

AspectDetails

Carriers partner with trusted global carriers (DHL, FedEx, UPS, or freight forwarders for large rigs).

Tracking is provided within 24 hours of dispatch.

Shipping Costs are calculated at checkout or quoted separately. Not included in product price unless explicitly stated.

Delivery Windows Estimated only; actual delivery depends on the carrier and customs.

2. Shipment Origin & Lead Times by Order Type (Updated November 16, 2025)

Order Type Estimated Lead Time, Preferred Origin, Alternate Origin (no contractual prejudice)

Catalog / Standard Inventory Products 3–7 business days after payment clearance, European Base – Portugal (whenever stock is available). North America (United States or Canada) – Dunel reserves the unilateral right to ship from any North American facility to ensure availability and speed.

Special / Customized Orders–12 weeks (or as quoted per order). Determined case-by-case (typically the facility best suited to the technical specification) United States, Canada, or Portugal – The choice of origin does not alter specifications, certifications, or warranties and will be communicated at dispatch.

Key Note:

  • The preferred origin is always Portugal (Europe) whenever local stock exists.

  • Shipments may automatically originate from the United States or Canada to optimize logistics, reduce lead time, or address stock constraints — with no contractual, pricing, or warranty impact to the customer.

  • You will be informed of the actual origin in the dispatch confirmation email along with the tracking number.

3. Dunel’s Right to Choose Origin (North America)

We reserve the unilateral right to ship any order from any of our facilities within North America — including directly from the United States or Canada — without contractual prejudice.

  • This ensures optimal inventory availability, faster lead times, and supply-chain resilience.

  • The choice of origin will not affect product specifications, warranty, or compliance certifications.

  • You will be notified of the shipping origin in the dispatch confirmation.

4. International Duties, Taxes & Customs

  • Buyer is solely responsible for all import duties, VAT, tariffs, brokerage fees, and local taxes at the destination.

  • Dunel does not collect or pay these fees and cannot estimate them.

  • We provide commercial invoices and certificates of origin upon request.

5. No Liability for Sudden Tariff or Trade Policy Changes

Dunel shall not be held responsible for:

  • Abrupt tariff increases, trade restrictions, or sanctions imposed by any government (including during trade war tensions).

  • Delays, additional costs, or order cancellations resulting from such changes.

  • Any re-routing or storage fees triggered by customs holds beyond our control.

Example: If a 25% tariff is imposed mid-transit due to new trade policies, the buyer absorbs the cost. Dunel will assist with documentation but assumes no financial liability.

6. Risk of Loss & Title Transfer

  • Title and risk of loss pass to the buyer upon handover to the carrier at our facility (EXW).

  • We recommend all-risk cargo insurance (available via carrier or third-party).

7. Large / Freight Shipments (Custom Rigs, Chambers)

  • Shipped via LTL, FTL, or ocean freight depending on size.

  • Crating and palletization included.

  • Signature required on delivery.

  • Inspection window: 48 hours post-delivery to report concealed damage (photos required).

8. Shipping Delays & Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays due to:

  • Carrier issues

  • Customs clearance

  • Weather, strikes, or acts of God

  • Supply chain disruptions (e.g., component shortages)

9. How to Track or Modify Shipping

What to include in the Shipping Policy

Generally speaking, a Shipping Policy often addresses these types of issues: the timeframe for processing orders; the shipping costs; different domestic and international shipping solutions; potential service interruptions; and much, much more.
