The Ormity CTI Drop Dispenser is a precision dispensing module designed for controlled drop generation in Comparative Tracking Index (CTI) tests in accordance with IEC 60112.
The system utilizes a single-channel electronic pipette mounted on a rigid mechanical holder, actuated by a micro-stepping motor (NEMA 12) through a PTFE actuator tip. This ensures repeatable, hands-free operation and consistent drop release, eliminating operator variability.
Note: The dispenser is intended for integration within CTI test equipment - Dunel or Ormity. Volumetric performance is defined by the electronic pipette; the module serves as the mechanical actuation interface.
Applications & Compliance

Pipette Requirements
To ensure system integrity, the pipette used must meet the following criteria:
Type: Single-channel electronic pipette.
Volume Range: 5 – 50 µL.
Resolution: 0.1 µL or better.
Calibration: Independently calibrated and verified.
The pipette is not supplied as part of the actuator module unless explicitly specified.
Mechanical & Environmental Features
Construction: Rigid aluminum column for precise vertical alignment.
Mounting: Custom mechanical holder with adjustable stroke alignment.
Material Integrity: Chemical-resistant materials in contact areas; designed to prevent lateral loads on the pipette piston.
Operating Temperature: 20 ± 5 °C.
Relative Humidity: ≤ 75 % RH (non-condensing).
Volumetric Performance
Performance values are dependent on the specific electronic pipette utilized.
| Parameter (at 25 µL) | Typical Value |
| Systematic Error | ± 0.25 µL (± 1.0 %) |
| Random Error | ± 0.25 µL (± 1.0 %) |
Maintenance & Calibration
Pipette: Shall be calibrated separately according to the laboratory’s quality system (recommended every 12 months).
Mechanical Module: The holder and actuator are non-volumetric components and do not require liquid-handling calibration.
Cleaning: Use isopropyl alcohol or mild laboratory detergent on external surfaces.
Manufacturer: Ormity Inc.
